I sanded down an old door to be used as the headboard in our guest room. To hide the old door knob/ lock holes, we mounted old door knobs and hardware. The side tables are part of an old vanity. The middle piece was damaged and cut away to gain 2 great tables. The picture below shows how much fun I had with sanding.
This is adorable, but I can't believe you used the words "fun" and "sanding" in the same sentence!
